Photos from Day 5 of the 2009 Nationals.
This was the final day of Grade play and all grades were active at one or other of the venues. At the Century Theatre, C Grade began at 10 am with the Own Choice, and B Grade began their Own Choice play a little later at the Municipal. In the afternoon, D Grade and Youth Grade finalised, and A Grade completed the competition with their Own Choice segment.I'm a webmaster, not a brass player. Further identification of bands below would be appreciated. Thanks already for identification of Dalewool Jubilante.
There had been fires to the west of Napier, as well as a strong sea running. The sunset was particularly brilliant that evening, and I happened to catch it. It is a lovely final photograph. I was due in Auckland mid-Sunday and missed the Band of the Year. Anyone with photos of it are welcome to email them to me and they can be added to complete the pictorial of the 2009 Nationals.
