Website of the 2009 National Brass Contests

This is the contest activity website for the National Brass Bands Competitions to be held in Napier, 15-19th April, 2009. That will be a bit earlier than usual, to allow members of our representative bands to travel overseas in July.

If you are wanting information controlled by the National Office, please visit their Contests webpage. That is where you can find say what is the Test Solo music, what are the regulations aroung assisting musicians and the like. This site deals with the practicalities and the enjoyment of the Contest.

This webpage will evolve.

As time progresses, the function of this site will change. Initially, it is here simply to allow you to plan where you stay and how to get here, and if the info is not here, who to contact. During the contest, it will have results, and a gallery of photos from various activities. Some of the pages available will have little in them yet. They are there in waiting.

The Photo Gallery is too useful a page to lie fallow. Go there for some photos of Napier and Napieretti, with an emphasis on the Deco theme. (Of course.)
